The scholarships in the internat schloss stein

Scholarships are an important tool for us at the boarding school Schloss Stein to promote equal opportunities in the education system. The Steiner Scholarship Foundation enables talented pupils from financially disadvantaged families to gain access to our high-quality educational opportunities, which they would otherwise be denied.

Anna Lang, current scholarship holder at Stein:

"I skipped many grades in elementary school and was supposed to go to a secondary school at the age of 7. Finding a suitable grammar school that was willing to accept me at such a young age was not easy, so we contacted Mr. Ziegler - after a short letter of motivation and a school psychology certificate, I was off! I've now been here for eight years."

Scholarships allow us to host a greater diversity of pupils at Stein , which promotes social learning. Students from different social, cultural and economic backgrounds benefit from each other, which strengthens their social skills and their understanding of diversity in society.

Sebastian Ziegler, General Manager:

"In our experience, high-performing applicants with interesting additional skills gain school and life experience that can never be gained in the public sector."

In addition, a scholarship often opens up better future opportunities for the recipients. For many scholarship holders, their time with us means considerable social and economic advancement, which would be unattainable without financial support.

Scholarship holder Gordon Kunkel, who produced the best Steiner Abitur this year:

"My time at Stein was the most exciting three years of my life. I was particularly influenced by the unique place, but above all by the people who have made Stein what it is.

I am proud to be an Altsteiner!

I owe the fact that I was able to have this experience entirely to the scholarship, for which I am infinitely grateful. It has motivated me to always give my best and achieve the very best grades.

My future plans are to study Economics/Management either at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania or at Tsinghua University in China. I will get the final answer to my applications in early 2025. I am currently on a gap year in Japan to learn the fascinating language and learn more about the culture."

Overall, scholarships at Stein help to ensure that talent and potential are not limited by financial hurdles. They promote individual and social development in equal measure.

Anna Lang, scholarship holder:

"I've been able to develop a lot personally at Stein - and even more socially. It wasn't always easy, but I even achieved a milestone this year.

Stein is not a normal school, Stein is a family. Everyone knows everyone and there is virtually no distance between the different age groups. The class community is strengthened simply by the fact that most people have breakfast, lunch and dinner together every day. Stein is a great place with great people."

Applications are best sent directly to the scholarship foundation Stein - they are only valid for boarding school places and are awarded to pupils residing in the Federal Republic of Germany. The scholarships are always partial scholarships, which can vary greatly in amount. We always look forward to receiving numerous applications and are excited to see who else will join us in the coming years.
