This good news, along with the accompanying certificate and book voucher, arrived in Stein to mark the award presented to our student and this year’s high school graduate, Anna Kranzbühler García. This makes Anna one of only 20 students in Bavaria to be honored by the Bavarian State Association of Spanish Teachers for their academic achievements and, in particular, for their dedication.
The “Premio a la excelencia y compromiso escolar en la asignatura de Lengua Española”—as it is known in Spanish—thus recognizes not only Anna’s remarkable academic achievements but, above all, her ongoing dedication to the Spanish language in Stein. Furthermore, her W-seminar paper on a Spanish prisoner at the Trostberg concentration camp satellite camp in particular demonstrates just how rewarding interdisciplinary work can be.
