On Monday, July 27, one of the sporting highlights of the last week of school was on the schedule: the home soccer championship. The weather was rather changeable: summery temperatures were repeatedly followed by rain showers—much to the delight of nature, which desperately needed the rain. However, this did nothing to dampen the good mood, team spirit, and competitive drive.
On the pitch, every ball was fought for—there was cheering, celebrating and rooting for the teams. We were especially delighted by the visit of Friedrich “Fred” Hörmann (Abitur 2019), who didn’t want to miss the home football championship and even laced up his boots again for the traditional match students vs. staff, which was nevertheless won by the students after the final whistle.
At the end of an exciting day of competition, the 11th-grade class celebrated winning the title and were crowned the 2026 home soccer champions.
Congratulations on this outstanding performance!
