Today, on 24.02.2026, we were able to experience a very special moment: Together with the entire school community, we celebrated the 90th birthday of Angelika Ziegler – a personality who has shaped our school to this day.
At half past twelve, students, teachers and staff gathered in the roll call hall to dedicate this special day to her musically and personally. Musical classics, sensitively interpreted by the pianist Ana Filipa Luz from Salzburg, our teacher Jacqueline Nazet and our students Lilli Höfer, Jungchen Ren, Francisco Nicolás Briseño Varga and José Santiago Zelaya Rivera, filled the room. With a vocal performance by Robert Rathwallner and Sebastian Ziegler rounded off the ceremony in a special way.
Moritz Schertler gave a moving speech. He paid tribute to what Mrs. Ziegler had done for our school over the decades – with care, attitude, clarity and personal dedication. Much of what she has built up and supported continues to have an impact today. The so-called “Steiner spirit”, which makes our school so special, was and continues to be significantly shaped by her.
As one of the first students under founder Ilse Wiskott, she began her path in our community. What began as a young girl became a lifelong bond. Together with her husband Olaf Ziegler, the founder’s son, she led our house for many years with a great sense of responsibility. From the founding generation to the joint management period to the handover to her son Sebastian Ziegler, an impressive arc of lived intergenerational solidarity can be seen.
And how much we appreciate it when she talks about the past: the beginnings, the development, moving moments. Her memories bring history to life – and the values that underpin our company become tangible.
On our 90th birthday, we say thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
